I'm about two thirds through the third book of Game of Thrones so I'm going to wait until I have finished that before starting the third season. Think I might also re-watch the first two again as well whilst I am at it.

State of Play, The Beeb 6 parter from several years back that the yanks turned into a film starring Russell Crowe.

Excellent and not drawn out over the six episodes.

Aye I watched that before Christmas. Written by the bloke who created Shameless. Much better than the film (which wasn't bad tbf).

She's never looked better than she does in this imo. Looks old in The Following in comparison.

That's a shame about season 4, ant. Haven't started it yet.

I think I'm gonna rewatch Deadwood next.

I listened to an episode of The Nerdist with Timothy Olyphant on at the weekend. Well worth a listen, some of his patter about Deadwood was quality.

I had no idea that that got canned completely out of the blue. Seems a crazy decision.

Olyphant reckons 8 episodes into Season 3, him and McShane had just negotiated new contracts so at that time it was full steam ahead for season 4. He bought a new house on the strength of it and ended up in Bulgaria shooting Hitman to pay the bills.

Didn't think much of the Mad Men opener but it always takes 4-5 episodes to get going anyway and I'm interested to see what direction it's going to go in before the final season. Season 3 of Louie is absolutely class but it's becoming more like weekly depressing short stories and luckily for me, I find that hilarious.

Got season 7 of 30 Rock to watch too. I've got no idea how it ends but I expect it to be as ridiculous as possible.

Weeds is mint. Mary Louise Parker is an incredible MILF.

Probably in my top five perfect women.

(Disclaimer: obviously real perfection would involve a brain and personality which can never be assumed)

Don't know if anyone watches trashy reality TV but my ex bro-in-law is on The Voice tomorrow night - BBC1 at 6.45pm. He's the uncle of Ryan Thomas who was in Corrie and is on the trailers for this weeks show. No idea if anyone turns around for him cos he won't tell anyone but he's class, an amazing singer/songwriter/guitar player and really deserves a break.
