The 4 games where they've played together (first 4 matches) ASM averaged 45 touches, Almiron averaged 39 touches. The matches after Miggy averages 44. Take out the Liverpool game where we didn't have much possession at all and he's close to 48 touches.

Avg xG with ASM playing - 0.225. Without - 0.36. Take out Liverpool 0.41

Avg times Almiron was a target for a pass with ASM playing - 35. Without 41. Take out Liverpool - 45

(ASM was the target for a pass, on average 41 times)

Last season, ASM was the target of a pass 1302 times, Almiron was 661.

I'm not saying Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Longy and Howe are wrong. I'm saying you are.

You still need stats to tell you ASM has been a bigger goal threat than Miggy Dave?

The rest of it I found very interesting, thanks for posting 👍

CT was blatantly into those QVC/Bid upTV type channels when they first came out.

'What we have here is a Miguel Almiron cup with the words of the song the famous toon army sing for him, it's amazing value at £14.99 retail price, however you can get it here for £11.99. And if the camera can just pan in here......look, it's made from actual pottery manufactured in Stoke on Trent. It's also......."

'I'll buy it! I'll buy it! What's the phone number, Mrs CT!?!? Quick, before someone else bids on it!!!"

? I know ASM is a bigger goal threat. My thing was, how is ASM's return going to impact Almiron? Miggy will see less of the ball and be relied upon less. Will that have a disproportionate impact on the lad? Will his confidence dwindle because he won't be the outlet that he has been in Allan's absence?

Without stats.....you can see that Trippier-Bruno-Miggy have a great understanding down that side. I think it just offers us another avenue of attack when ASM is back.

Listen here you little shit; When ASM gets back, I think Miggy's form might dwindle and I'm interested to see if that's the case.

That's it, that's the big contentious position I've taken. Jesus Christ, this shit right here is why I like numbers more than people.

I remember there was a thing with him where he reckoned he used to get fan mail off yummy mummies from across the country.

I suspect it was wishful thinking.

When was the last time ASM scored 6 in 12 stat boy?

Urgh... Jesus.

Goal threat ≠ Goal return

This is what it would feel like if Tony Hawk tried to explain skateboarding to a fucking fish.

Someone hasn't had their mid-morning wank....

Ever thought Miggys form might also dwindle because he is playing out of skin now and that level will no doubt drop soon? Football has so many variables that stats don't take account of. Its not like Baseball.

It might do, you make a good point, but I guess I'm thinking that it'll probably be harder to score at the levels he has when he DOESN'T GET THE FUCKING BALL!
