  1. He has moments similar to two massive Ferrari heroes Gilles Villeneuve and Jean Alesi, who both made their names driving balls-out in recalcitrant number 27's. I was actually reminded of Gilles when Lewis was trying to get back to the pits with his back wheel hanging off the corner of the car. Very Zandvoort 1979. I think Ferrari would love Vettel at some point but I bet Mercedes would like to build a team round him too once Schumi retires again.
  2. Or banger racing. I agree that he's not as happy at Mclaren as he was at the start of his career, but I'd be very surprised (pleasantly) to see him land at Ferrari. Alonso loves having the whole team focused on him. First of all Ferrari need to get rid of Massa, who sadly isn't deserving of a top drive anymore. If they are willing to replace him with an elite driver who takes joint number one status (and Alonso is happy with this) then maybe the door is open for Hamilton. It'd be more likely that they'd employ a young up-and-comer or a solid journeyman in my opinion though. Last time I saw an interviewer broach the subject of them being team-mates again in the future Lewis was 'sure it could happen, why not?' Alonso blanked the question and refused to talk about it.
  3. Perhaps Lewis should stay in North America and try his hand at NASCAR. Much more suitable for him the way he's been driving this year. Delighted for Jenson though, making the old six stop strategy work. Seemed odd to have a Grand Prix, Le Mans, the British Moto GP and the Isle of Man TT all on the same weekend. Surely it would've made more sense to have one bike and one car event per weekend.
  4. Aw I hope the damage isn't permanent Bianca? Hopefully its just an irritation. I know you can get ulcers in the eye from over use of contact lenses. Aye that's what she said and that I should stop with the lenses this week to avoid it happening. The damage is sort of at the top of the eye away from where the lenses go but apparently the lack of oxygen is caused by overwearing them. Something like that I dunno. I'm sure it'll be fine though. It wasn't until she lifted my eyelid that I even felt that it was a bit sensitive. Corneal neovascularisation? Blood vessels from the limbus (where the 'white part' meets the 'coloured part') start to grow into the cornea which has been starved of oxygen by over use of lenses. If it's a Corneal ulcer that'll be be painful and can turn nasty. You don't swim in your lenses do you?
  5. Have you got a link for that? Can't see it on their site.
  6. This x1000 Until they pay road tax and have to be insured they can fuck off. And if anyone says its unenvironmental to tax them, ring fence the funds raised and use it on alternative energy / conservation projects.
  7. Geoffrey is a taxi driver in Teddington now. Even the Panto work must've dried up.
  8. More than likely just a normal floater, caused by bits of debris (dead cells etc.) floating around in the vitreous ( the jelly inside your eye). Not a great deal you can do about them and certainly nothing to worry about. If there are lots of them and they came on suddenly it could be a vitreous detachment, your optician would need to dilate your pupils to have a proper look at that. Again, nothing too major. If you've experienced flashing lights or 'cobwebs' in your vision it could be a retinal detachment. This is the least likely but most serious option. Needs seeing to sharpish (ie this afternoon) if that's the case. In theory you should get just as good a test at specsavers as you do anywhere else. However, due to time pressures they might not do a dilation or a visual field test that an independant optom might.
  9. Calm your brow man, its only a bit of cyber bullying. Cyber bullying's alright, it's the cowardly little knackers that follow behind than need to have a word with themselves.
  10. I got a dose of 'Cunt Syndrome' when I was in Liverpool for the Grand National a couple of months back. Though I remembered hearing about this on QI, that link tanned_dave's posted to BBC 'News' is six years old.
  11. Thought the Senna film would be getting a bigger release than it is. Only seems to be on for the odd day here and there.
  12. Aye!!! Here, fuckin hell av got a belta place for ye, it's Lewisham which is even closer. Absolute belta place! It's only 30 quid a neet as well. Ye get ya breakfast and the rooms are really nice, and the landlady is a lovely lass dead friendly, can't speak high enough of her. Big derby but really lush person. Honest mate you won't get a better deal anywhere roond there, I know it like the back o me hand. Alan Ball was in digs there when he was at Arsenal iirc and he spoke very highly of her too. He said it was shit, mind. Copyright Mark & Lard 1996
  13. Tom, you come across like the sort of cunt who stands behind the bully egging him on in the first page of this thread. You're supposed to be a mod ffs.
  14. Him and Rangers would be a reasonable match. He supports them and the level they play at might still be alright for him. Have they got the cash to pay wages from the takeover yet, or is the bank still running them?
  15. Has Curacao taken the Netherlands Antilles place? I wondered what would happen after they voted to become a part of the real Netherlands It took Grand Marnier's place after they merged with Cointreau. I hear another place is open after Kahlua joined forces with Tia Maria.
  16. Hughton was still the boss when he signed that contract. I wonder if CH was more tolerant of him and took him under his wing thinking he could bring something out of him whereas Pardoo is playing hardball with him.
  17. Nolan said it in a Q&A at one of the talk-in's. Was asked who the thickest player at the club was and he said Ranger. Said he offers to stay behind after training to work on his finishing with him but Nile always turns it down and goes home. He'll never make it if that's his attitude. Just as stupid giving him a five year contract though.
  18. The book is a lot darker than the film. Goes deeper into his insecurities, drinking problems and liking for cash-filled envelopes. I can see why the family wouldn't like it. The book and the film are both great, as was the man himself.
  19. 90 minute documentary about Senna just started on Radio5 btw Craig.
  20. I have that My opinion of you is complete. That is? Its a quality jacket actually. Bought it when i was at the F1. Wouldn't go with the rest of Craig's wardrobe tbf:
  21. I wonder if Lee Clark is in with a shout? Maybe a bit too soon for him.
  22. He's won every club medal available barring the Champions League so not that many failures.
