Only an idiot would sell Coloccini. Draw your own conclusions.....

I think we're OOCs . How come you moved to NZ? Am sure you've said it before but I've forgotten, was it lass, work or both? Got the chance to go there with my job. The missus and I really fancied living overseas at the time so we went for it & emigrated. The kids were young enough to get away with it. Love it here and the only drawback is the distance from home.

When I lived in the UK Nearest Reading FC 10.06 miles NUFC 239.18 miles Now I'm about as OOT from Newcastle as you can get......

Might do better than that Kean bloke

I'm not a fan of beards. I associate them with tree hugging sandal wearers, the sort who drink real ale and make their own compost. They are likely to have pot bellies and stick thin legs, and own a tankard. On the other hand, if you look like Brian Blessed, own a roaring laugh, are built like a brick shithouse and can remove a man's teeth by slapping him on the back, then a beard looks OK.

I don't know why people are going on about a new striker. Ben Arfa is the new striker Pleased with 4 points. Not getting carried away yet.

Anyone seen those pics and matchday reports yet? -
Inept is the overall impression. Be surprised if anyone will deal with us if we are tapping up, unercutting and trying to activate release clauses. Seems increasingly unlikely to me we'll sign anyone else permanently this time around. Last minute loan scraps from the big boys' table is probably the best we can hope for now.

You only have to look at Dekker's face to know what sort of man he is. There's an "I'm going to fuck you up the arse and steal all your money the minute your back's turned" look about him.

2 wins in 19 is terrible

I wonder if Mrs Doubtfire will ever get to play that music for the victory at the SOL. There's every chance that before next season he'll have been sacked by Short or his liver will spontaneously explode. Or both.

Difficult balancing act imo. Giving run outs to players is important but first and foremost I want us to win the game. I'm sick of getting knocked out of this competition in the early stages and this has Hereford United/Leyton Orient written all over it for me. So I wouldn't like to see too many unblooded players starting. Could go with something like Harper Raylor----Williamson-----Saylor-----Perch Obertan----Gosling----Vuckic-----Marveaux Best------Lovenkrands and a mix of players on the bench

Pardew: Our transfer policy is NO different to Man Uniteds

Welcome to NUFC FFS! One game and Mong's been written off already. Just because he didn't cost £15m, you have to slag him off. You people make me sick. Yeah but I've got a mate who's seen all of Mong's games in the eredivisian escudo ligua and he says he's shit innit

Sounds like a euphemism

Only a matter of time now if he's still in Tripoli. If he's any sense he'll be on a plane out of there to a friendly fellow tyrant. presumably he's prepared to negotiate now.

even if its an accident? what about someone like buust who had to retire? would irwin retire too? sometimes accidents do happen And Roy Keane too? Retirement plainly not an option but it would be a long time before the injured player threw in the towel on coming back so the ban would be lengthy. I agree with the problems you and Manc-Mag highlight though, probably would never work thinking about it. However I'm sick of the likes of De Jong and Cattermole jumping into challenges late and I wish there was a bigger sanction than a red card for them to worry about. Lock them in a room with ray wilkins for 15 minutes. So he can give them a nice sensible talk about running sideways like a crab?

We've spend buttons on our team and they've spent millions, and yet we pillage the three points at their place. It must really really hurt. Regarding the pelanty incident, it was obviously hand to ball and intentional; I thought Larsson's body language and expression immediately after he'd done it reinforced that. Not that it made any difference to the result. If I was their owner I'd be calling the fat drunk into my office early doors to demand where the fuck my money had gone.

If it was a done deal last Jan (and assuming that deal was to his satisfaction), it makes little sense for him to have been bitching over Twitter this summer. You'd just be sat tight with your bags packed. Doesn't really stack up for me that one. Yeah I don't get it either. Surely LFC would have wanted him in for pre-season if it was a done deal? That's not to make excuses for the club either. Fwiw I think they genuinely wanted to keep hold of him (ie it wasn't that they were looking to make a transfer fee 'profit' out of him), but it was always entirely unrealistic to think they could given that his new package would only have seen him (again I assume) in line with Tiote, when he could have got more elsewhere. All parties knew this so the fact it was an utterly unrealistic hope means the club should have had replacements lined up as they were basically on notice of the need to replace him for ages. I can't work this one out tbh. It must have been obvious Enrique was determined to leave, and if the club was adamant they weren't going to increase their offer, then there was zero chance he would sign. So why didn't we have this sorted ages ago? The only things I can think of is that we've put it off as long as possible to save wages or - more likely - they wanted the sale to go through first as otherwise the money wasn't there for a transfer fee. It seems a risky way to do things to me - surely better to get the replacement in then sell the wantaway player?

I agree Leazes. An expert panel could decide what was the appropriate ban depending on the severity of the tackle, injury and level of intent inferred. If a player's leg is broken by a deliberately reckless challenge like De Jong's on Ben Arfa, the perpetrator could be banned for as long as it takes for the player to return from injury.

I'd be happy if we signed a LB like Pieters or Cissoko but I can't believe we'll do it. iirc we haven't spent more than 5 mill on a player for donkey's years and the majority of our dealings this transfer window have been free transfers. These players will surely cost a lot of money?
