Rob W would have wanked himself into unconsciousness over this thread.

It still scares me that one of the most progressive countries in the world looks like it's about to vote in another gun-ho prejudice moron. When George W got voted in I said tin hat time everyone, I expect the same from Romney when they unfortunately vote him in. Scary, scary stuff.

Police tazered a man for walking away

My dad got jumped on my coppers years back because he fitted the description of someone who had just robbed the Post Office along the road. Suffice to say, it wasn't him. Well, if it was him, we certainly didn't see the proceeds.. -
I watched Speed the other night and found out it was 18 years old, which freaked the shit out of me a little.

The problem with all these conspiracies Wolfy is that a lot, and I mean thousands of people would have to be in on it. I admire you playing devils advocate to a certain extent but even I, who thinks George Bush Jnr is a tiny bit mental by the way, would believe even a tiny percentile that he would organise 9/11.

In the pipeline for spring 2013. Ant and Dec to host.

Yeah, lad I worked with had two auditions down in Manchester for the X-Factor, none of which were in front of any judges, just producers. The lad could really sing as well, and play guitar. He said the same, surrounded by really untalented people who got through and the producers were telling were brilliant. Mind you, it's not a talent contest anyway, it's a popularity contest. For what it's worth, I unfortunately think Cowell is a genius. An evil one, but a genius all the same.

As someone who is interested in the Tours but not fanatic, I'm guessing Team Sky are like the Chelsea or Man City of the sport. Had loads of money chucked at them, bought the best cyclists, can afford the best technology etc. Just like we were fucked off by Man City coming from nowhere having being bankrolled, I expect Team Sky are probably looked at the same. I can totally see why.

We have a member of staff who must be on £35k I reckon who's main job is to identify and apply for a stream of different funding. They are responsible for many £100ks of funding and keeping the rest of us in a job. Now that's pressure, and I think for £30k it's a fair deal. Our CEO is probably on about £40k, but you can't put a figure on his experience and contacts which make the £30k person's job a lot easier. The one thing I love and hate about working for a charity is that we're all in it together, if someone isn't pulling their weight we could all be fucked..which is why when we've employed people like that they tend to disappear quite quickly. I think my boss kills them. Sorry, I'm letting it out a bit now, the pros far outweigh the cons! Edited cos I'm a spelling and grammar knacker.

If we didn't have salaries in charities though, they wouldn't run. There are also loads of down sides; lack of job security, lack of resources, no 'perks' that public and private industry gets like travel expenses etc. Plus if any of us were to pull a sicky it's a massive pain in the arse for the rest of the team. If I take annual leave I have to be massively prepped as well, can't just say 'I think I'll have tomorrow off.' This has gone a bit ranty now, sorry.

I took the bairn for a walk and watched some park football sadly. Couldn't believe how shit the standard was (been out a few years now) and the bairn learnt the words 'fuck off man' and 'diving cunt.'

I work for a charity. If you could point me in the direction of the £100k salary I'd be grateful. Also, the year to year insecurity through funding and donations is not massively pretty. You know what though, I get massive job satisfaction from it.

As much as I was a fan of Sir Jim, it appears that the accusations and evidence that they have received so far is looking pretty damning. My wife said she's glad he never answered her letter.

They've taken his plaque down outside his home as some cad wrote 'paedophile and rapist' below the words 'Entertainer and Philanthropist.'

Possibly negotiated a new, better deal and also gets to sell more shirts as fans queue up to buy ones with the new sponsor on despite already having the virgin one. Quids in Mike. -

Aye, my money is on it being a bookies. No pun intended. -
I don't really mind golf either way, but I have to say it makes SHIT radio. Same as tennis.

Makes a good curry. Forgetting to say 'thank you' to him is the equivalent of calling his mam a cock monster.

The only defense I have of the Blackburn fans is we haven't seen what they've seen week in week out. Remember when we wanted Big Sam out and the rest of the footballing world said we were impatient whingers who'd forced him out and not treated him fairly? Exactly, we told the press and other fans to fuck off and stay out of our business as we were seeing a truly clueless brand of football every week. True, there was nowhere near the hatred and abuse that Kean has had which I think has been totally ott, and the owners have left him out to dry as well.

Merson and his like are unfortunately the way that punditry is going. Seems like the broadcasters are purposely employing know-nowt Cath words to try and spice it up a bit in the hope that they get viewers and listeners who are tuning in because they hate a pundit rather than like them. Savage is the perfect example. A fuckwit of the highest order. I turn off anything this twat is on as I don't want to hear his shite, but the problem is loads of people get wound up and can't help taking the purposeful bite he and the beeb are after. Having said that, I haven't listened to 606 since Danny Baker left anyway. It's just a mouthpiece for Carl from Essex to talk about his beloved Liverpool that he just hasn't watched but he's got a fucking opinion anyway. They deserve each other.

Poor Guthrie, just like when Hughton kept putting him out on the right wing and he looked about as comfortable as a fat bridesmaid.

I'm actually disgusted and offended that you think this is the be all and end all after pouring my heart out over a work colleague. At least DD
