I fucking loved him while he was here, but he's never been, and likely never will be, right enough in the head to make it as a top level professional.This move was the perfect opportunity to 'prove people wrong'. If he'd put in a couple of productive displays, he'd likely have never been dropped from that team. Yet he couldn't bring himself to do it. It's a massive shame, but he only really has himself to blame. With any luck, he'll find the perfect club, with the perfect attack minded manager, and the perfect complimentary players, to allow him to finally flourish. I think it would take someone of Mourinho's quality to get the best out of Ben Arfa. I still think he'd have been a great option for us, as I think he took to the club & fans, but it looks like what could have been a perfect opportunity to get his career back on track has passed by. Sorry, wasn't Hazard fairly well known for his enfant terrible attitude? JM seems to get players who didn't work hard, suddenly grafting. Probably because the results are very obvious. This is the frustration for me, we've had managers that could have got more from Ben Arfa and we've a scout team that consistently find players that Pardew's incapable of utilising.
