Fair play to him. Not a bad way to see out your career. He might get decent game time if the Mbappe move doesn't happen too. He's also banging them in for the national team

Totally agree. He has been at a very high level in the Spanish League for about three years. Being very important in teams at the bottom of the table and scoring important goals.

To make a parallel, in recent years it has been like when we had Rondón under Rafa's command, he alone generated all the danger above.

And that has earned him to go with the Spanish team, where he seems to be in a magical and fortunate moment.

If he hadn't signed for Real Madrid, he would surely have ended up as the starting forward for a team like Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Villarreal or Valencia, all of them with aspirations to finish in the top 5-6 in Spanish football. .

But if you told me 4 years ago that he is going to hit this year in his career, I would have called you crazy.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12931160/rule-changes-for-new-football-season-officials-to-crackdown-on-dissent-be-more-lenient-on-physical-challenges-and-add-on-wasted-time

"The threshold for a player to be shown a yellow card for dissent will be reduced this season.

Whenever more than one player approaches the referee, at least one of those players, and potentially more, will be shown an automatic yellow card. Practically, any player that runs from a distance to approach the match officials will be booked."

That should be interesting  Seems like more room to hand out subjective yellows

I see they focused on time wasting and dissent which is fine but no more clarity on the at times ludicrous offside, VAR decisions

Aye. Another nugget

During the match only one person can stand at the front of the technical area and, while a second person can stand, they "must remain very close to the technical area seating" and "all conversations between the two standing must happen close to the technical area seating" as everyone else stays sitting down.

Not going to please Mad Dog.

Anything about Klopp and Arteta jumping up and down in front of the other team's bench?

It’s a weird one, can’t really see what it accomplishes. As RobinRobin says the problem imo is more total cunts like Arteta and Klopp screaming at officials and opposition coaches without any punishment.

They may as well call that the Jason Tindall rule. It's blatantly been brought in to stop the way him and Howe work.

The players running at the ref all getting yellow. That'll not happen to your Man Uniteds and your Liverpools. They'll still be able to pull that shit with wild abandon.

It's a fucking joke.

Fuck all happened to Klopp last season for his confrontation with the ref IIRC.  The big toothed cunt.

That was for his comments.  There was fuck all done for him running into the face of the fourth official IIRC

Aye, aside from this ref cam footage, nothing else was said about it.

On the one hand he is at least going over to sign some stuff, but on the other what a fucking bell-end. Can you imagine Eddie ever doing something like this. Maybe I'll be proven wrong and he's just a very good actor, but Howe seems like one of the few true gents left in the game, in the mould of Sir Bobby, or even old Woy Hodgson.
