I'd offer Man United something a lot closer to what they want at this stage. 5.5 hours left and we're officially in the brown kegs zone.

Now is the time to shit ourselves and parp a gigantic offer directly into their faces.

rapidly approaching the time of day where we need to hope mandy can ask ashley if she can play with his chopper.

 Even if it was unfair (which to be crystal clear it absolutely is not) does he think it is less fair than the PL blocking the takeover they eventually went on to allow? If they’d have allowed it when they fucking should have we could have done all this (likely more) last summer and never been in the position of needing to use this, perfectly fucking fair, approach.

He’s from Hampshire so he’ll still be a bit salty that his team is shit since  Ferguson retired.

If Hope is correct it would seem the 'ammers have no chance of getting Lingard, so if it's just us and them who are serious for him then it would appear that Lingard will either stay or come to us.

Why’s it an issue for a struggling team but not for a team gunning for the title? Because that seems to be the inference here? Total double standards anyway as it’s perfectly within the rules. And like you allude to, we’re only having to do this because of the takeover being blocked for 18 months to try and protect the interests of the ‘big 6’. The ones who wanted to walk away from the league

Pack of cunts running Man United, like

i can understand why they wouldn’t want to let him go given what’s happened with greenwood but it’s a bit of a cunt’s trick if they’re breaking this news to us now. I can only guess the greedy cunts weren’t happy with our offer.

Is there a plan C forward lined up?

Reckon that hard balling MU cost us there

yeah but they were taking the piss with this survival fee. Worked out at about £1m per game for Lingard all in.

Whilst I'm happy with our signings so far, Chris Wood as the only attacking reinforcement is concerning

Yep. For a team fighting to survive and poor at scoring, not getting another striker is a potentially big error.
