Over the two legs IMO against a pure class opposition we haven't been that far off.  At this level small margins make big differences and the strength in depth has cost us.  IMO Isak stays on in the first leg we do better.

Wilson, meh, it's hard to say considering the goals he's got for us this season, but IMO he's better off the bench.

It is hard not to be happy with how we have performed. Not happy with the result but we have held ourselves well. Joelinton's header in and the cross the keeper just pushed back were 2 massive moments. They were a really good team and we have 5 players who could have started or on the bench not available. If we could have brought on Barnes, Gordon, Isak, Miggy and Toonali it would have been different. Which it wasn't. Lascelles did well tonight. Second goal came because we had to go for it.

They're the best team we've played this year IMO (I include City in that). They were somewhat spawny with every pinball situation seemingly falling to them. We're close but just lack that top class ruthlessness with our chances.

 

Gordon ain't a central striker mind.

 

Livramento looks top class and Hall looks good as well.

I thought we played well, did what we could, but between injuries to key players and Dortmund just being a very good team, we couldn't find a way through. The commentators kept going on about how we needed to win this game etc but I was just sat there proud of the team and enjoying it. First time back in 20 years, who gives a shit really if we qualify or not. Still fancy us to beat Milan anyway so should get 3rd at least.

Should've done better with the header, piss poor from our free kick as well when they scored but it was a good ball out tbf. Injuries and the last game took it out of us. They looked big, physical bastards and have got us at the right time. Ref let them be pretty rough which is fair enough but didn't quite seem so lenient with us and even if he had've done, we looked a bit leggy.
