  3. From my year of birth: Uma Thurman Claudia Schiffer Rachael Weisz Coincidentally, we went to the same high school and of course I rattled them all.
  4. I am more annoyed about the points we dropped at home against Liverpool and Everton from winning positions as well against West Ham away in the dying minutes because of stupidity and lack in concentration.
  5. That's the problem, though. It seems as though the on field referee is scared to make a decision, knowing VAR is there to check and let him know, whereas the VAR then follows the on field decision. Someone needs to take responsibilty, either on or off field, but both seem to be abrogating that responsibility. It was a clear and obvious error. That's precisely what VAR's DNA was about, surely.
  6. Even just winning our home games against Luton and Forest (17th and 19th at the time) would have given us 4 extra points. And Joelinton and Pope aside, we had a good amount of strength available. Well, enough to not concede 7 goals, Martin.
  7. That's the thing. We are seeing progress. Under Ashley would we have seen us get two of the most promising full backs in the league and have hope of them sticking with us for the next 5+ years? Nah, the cunt would have sold them ASAP.
  8. I'm pretty convinced that if she'd said "Look at these raising money for charity, fair play" ... you'd have replied: "Has tha sen t'fucking size of them? Like th'egg and spoon race wee'aht t'spoon!"
  9. A charming little vignette of life in your family.
  10. Aye, 8 points dropped against Luton and Forest. We'd be 2 points clear in 5th with those. And if we hadn't dropped fucking 5 points against Everton, we'd be back in the CL next year. A lot of these results came when we were mired in an injury crisis, but these are the games that have really cost us this season. Progress is pretty much a guarantee for this club now though, which is the great thing about it.
  11. Let’s do this! im worried about Wissa/Toney/Mbeumo. Hopefully they’ve got their sandals on.
  12. I assume it was just Livramento being out and he decided that Schar was more of a risk than Trippier.
  13. My sister is similar. She messages Wor Kid more because he amuses her where I just ignore her It was Leeds Marathon / Half at the weekend. Her Fella did the Marathon. He did it last year in a very respectful 4h. He wasn't aiming to beat it just do similar and enjoy it. I went out to cheer him and the others on. I knew a lot of others doing it and its a great atmosphere. Anyway's my sister was moaning because it clashed with the Leeds match Conversation went; 'FFS It's playoff's match Sunday' 'Don't go then, stay at home and watch that shite' '#MOT' Then Sunday comes, she goes to near the finish 'Just got here have you seen him?' 'Aye, he looks good' 'There's some right units doing it' 'Well they're running fair play to em and raising brass for charities' 'Yeh but look how fat they are' 'You've never done sport in your life let alone think about raising brass for charity' 'Fuck off' That was the end of it
  14. I was implying he was unfit and shouldn’t have played. He is the best full back I’ve ever seen play for us but he was not match fit. It’s a lot different to slagging off every bad decision that Longstaff/Almiron/Burn make. I don’t know what’s going on with him but he only had a weeks training (in Dubai?!) after being out 2.5 months. It’s Howes fault more than anything but maybe he was trying to manage game time between him and Schar. We are completely stretched for personnel at the back.
  15. it's just a 4-3-3/4-5-1 hybrid
  16. Their luck btw - Isak missing a 1 on 1 - Ciggy missing a 1 on 1 - Penalty missed by VAR - Casemiro's goal line clearance - Gordon scoring - Hall scoring and they still managed to come away with 3 points
  17. My sister has gone down this rabbit hole. I just completely ignore it every time she mentions something. I'm also not on Facebook and I don't follow her twitter (Steve Baker MP does though ). Like the other day she sends me the thing about Piers Morgan interviewing the Baby Reindeer lass. I replied saying I won't watch cos I fucking hate Morgan and getting somebody mentally ill on his show is bollocks. She replies yes and he was one of those pushing for more lockdown, etc etc. End of text conversation for 24 hours and we'll go again on another topic until she veers into the central reservation again and I have to give her another unspoken timeout.
  18. I was raging last night, but I've calmed down a lot. Like Gemmill says our path is upwards and while this result was disappointing, it's not the reason we aren't going to finish 6th. Look to the Brighton, Luton and Forests results for that. Even then Given the nature of this season, finishing 7th or 8th is remarkable. We've had an injury crisis, the likes of which I've never seen here. We've had extra games which has stretched our squad even more. Not just the number of injuries, but losing absolutely pivotal players has done for us. Joelinton and Pope have missed 18 and 23 league games respectively. Willock and Tonali have only been available for 9 games. Wilson and Barnes have both missed about 1/2 the season as well. And yet, here we are with a shot of European football. Man Utd did what they've done all fucking season; played shite, but benefited from poor defending from the opponent and poor officiating from the referee. They shouldn't have scored 2, let alone 3. Pope and Joelinton should both start against Brentford, give Longstaff a fucking rest and Dubravka the bench. If Trippier is 100% fit, play him alongside Schar and Burn and Hall. If not, shift Krafth out there.
  19. Aye that Georgian ‘keeper at Valencia keeps getting rumoured. we must have a lot more £ to spend this summer FFP wise if we’re planning on upgrade Pope as it’s certainly not a priority. Or we’re worried he won’t come back to the same keeper after his injury. or the rumours are just bullshit.
  20. I always thought Dubravka was an ok keeper, but having a couple of seasons of Pope has shown there's so much room for improvement. And if rumours are to be believed, we are also interested in upgrading Pope at some point
  21. Believe it or not, they didn't let the 18 year old Saturday lad compile the odds for that day's fixtures. The fact we've only drawn twice in 18 away matches this season is likely a factor in those odds though. But BY ALL MEANS, go ahead and make that bet, Mr McCririck! You know best!
  22. Today
  23. I've mentioned it before, but we are having to cut off previous friendships with anti-vaxxers who have gone down the rabbit hole. It's just impossible to have normal relationships with them because they also have to evangelise their crackpot views. It actually also appears to me that this rabbit hole is bottomless. These people hold up dribbling morons like Oliver, Bridgen and Le Tissier as heroes. Their lunacy is quite frightening, and they are not as few in number as can be compatible with a healthy society.
  24. aaah, the owld 2-3-2-2-1 formation.
