I don't really believe that. If he wanted to go I can't see any performance related reason why leadership would have tried to persuade him to stay. Possibly this idea has been leaked to prevent it from looking like our ownership and board are difficult to work with? From all we have seen PSR is the difficult part. Mitchell appeared to get everyone offside very early with the not fit for purpose interview, perhaps he was never able to recover from this and wasn't a good fit for the club's culture.
