  2. If any politician goes to speak to literally anyone right now without have a well thought out answer to the inevitable brexit question they're definitely thick. It just so happens a lot of them are.

  3. The tories are masters at shifting blame. Read between the lines, hear the rhetoric. They are going to blame the EU first and remainers second. People will fall for it. There millions of @Christmas Tree 's out there. As long as they hold the party together, they will try and weather the storm.

  4. Btw, I see Derek Hatton has been suspended again already. The grounds? Suspected anti-semitism. You could not make this shit up!

  5. For starters, Major is a cricket fan where as we all know Blair trudged through the 50s watching Jackie Milburn from the seats in the Gallowgate end with CT.

  6. Aye, we are absolutely fucked. I’ve been reading through this thread and I find the “well you’re not doing much so don’t complain” argument to be fucking hilarious. We need worldwide action on this otherwise it’s futile. CT and people of his ilk can kick up as much as they want because someone will use plastic then complain about climate change but individuals are utterly powerless here. Its fine though we can just ignore it and discuss the important issues, like building a random wall across a border, or having Britain close itself off from Europe for some apparent reason that no one is really able to give a proper actual positive for, instead of the looming mass extinction of possibly everything on the planet. Aye that last sentence may seem strong but it’s essentially what this will result in if this bunch of knuckle heads remain in charge. I agree though, sweet fuck all will change as long as total fucking TWATS want to push for some of the above items instead of focusing on what matters, and politicians will always aim to sweep up the easy votes rather than try and promote a worthy cause.

  8. Hes not cut out for the path he's chosen On a more serious note I am very much done with giving anyone political the benefit of the doubt, I'm fed up of doubts, it honestly cannot be that hard to appear competent.

  10. I’ve just found out that my Grandad’s brother played for Bishop Auckland, who were one of the best amateur sides in England. He played in the 1939 FA Amateur Cup Final, which they won 3-0, alongside one of his teammates, a Bob Paisley from Hetton-Le-Hole. Whale Oil Beef Hooked.

  12. The difference in batting styles in that ODI yesterday was really good to watch. I know the wicket offered very little for the bowlers and that could have made for a very boring game even with such a big total to chase. But the way we went about it I thought was exceptional. Admittedly their fielding was awful and their attack was anything but strong. The calls for Roy to be given a go in the test team are getting louder and louder now.

  14. Why should Jewish people do anything? Am I responsible for Israeli foreign policy? I detest Netanyahu but I don’t need some Scouse militant twat telling me what I should or shouldn’t be be doing. Being Jewish doesn’t directly connect you to Israel and to suggest otherwise is antisemitic - it’s like saying all Muslims are somehow responsible for Isis atrocities.

  15. I think that requiring an entire race to oppose the actions of one country is implying that those who aren't vocal are complicit in their actions. It's the same as the far right saying that any Muslim who isn't screaming from the rooftops against terrorism by default supports it.

  16. FFS. Not this shit again. Here is a list of 100 progressive things that Blair did that benefitted normal people. Show me a remotely similar list for Major if you can. Absolutely sick of yoy Corbynites trashing the party's recent legacy despite it being massively counterproductive. http://www.progressonline.org.uk/2010/02/01/labours-100-achievements-for-100-days/

  20. I never said they would and they probably won’t. Agree with Ewerk too. It’s a start and if they grew large enough to be more effective then - who knows? Beats doing nothing and hoping Corbyn somehow stops being a useless, cowardly cunt

  24. Agreed climate change is the most important issue of our generation. Maybe of our species, ever. There's just too many fuck nuts on the planet, including one in the White House and a billion CTs.

  25. Errr none of that. Basically what happened was that 'toonraider' fella looked like a far bigger nonce so I moved Essembee over to a regular member rather than a 'mackem'.

  26. An observation - a few years back, Essembee was ridiculed on here (and indeed accused of being a mackem) such was his devotion to criticism of Sunderland and his pulling up of fairly irrational points to throw at them. I mean we all liked a dig but there were limits. These days, I would venture that Essembee is an almost respected member of the community in terms of his contributions (Sorry Essembee, but you can't have not been aware of this perception). Is this because he has raised his game as a poster? No, I don't think so. It's because Sunderland have lowered themselves to the points where the 'limits' have expanded, and now even the crazy shit Essembee comes out with seems acceptable when put alongside paedo players, consecutive relegations, spending millions on players who don't play for them, an inability to fill their seats with anything other than excrement, and hugely delusional visions of where they are as a club compared to the reality of their situation. Sunderland have become the club Essembee always believed they were. He's like some kind of mad bastard prophet.
