  1. Conte is “interested” apparently. FIRE UP THE WANKING SPANNERS

  2. Rangnick as DoF and either Favre or Conte (who is apparently interested) managing is absolute top tier, stuff dreams are made of. Just the fact that this lot understand that getting Bruce out for the spurs game, even if it means Jones as caretaker, will be great for the atmosphere and the fans in the ground is a huge step up from a few weeks ago.

  3. People won’t hate us. They’ll absolutely love us and pick us on FIFA. That’s the entire point of sportswashing. It’s not hard to understand

  4. Can't believe they're not giving Bruce a chance to see what he's made of?

  6. We might be, maybe even third or fourth choice. I don't think so though actually. We have a few things going for us. First, we are cheap. Second we have a potentially huge fan base, we're a principal city and regional centre. But thirdly, and maybe most importantly, if you want to establish a legacy, then we're your club. We have historically had a minor presence in Europe, if you go back 10 years, but we have won fuck all, probably the most under-achieving football club in England, mayve even the World. You buy Liverpool, the best you can do is continuity. Boring. Buy NUFC, you can rewrite history. Similar to Man City in that respect, but with the added bonus we are a one club city (didn't the Qatari's have us as first choice anyway?). The only other clubs I think would have made sense to buy would be Spurs, West Ham, Villa, or Leeds. But Stavely had no connection with those.

  11. It’s the stuff of daydreams tbh. It’s fucking football man, we watch it for entertainment and for something to talk about. This whole “people will like us and hate them” thing is complete delusion, they’re Accrington Stanley tbh who gives a fuck about them? I’ve fucking always hated Liverpool but I’ve never once paid any mind to Accrington Stanley because of that dislike of Liverpool, even if I did what would it bring them? They can have their imagined adoration of people on the internet to go with the absolute dross lower league football they watch and we can all enjoy watching some world class football. Will we be more disliked? I suppose maybe yeah, but what would that do? What impact do the mackems think that has on anything? I can’t say I dislike Manchester City any more or less than I did before they were taken over, and even if I did that increase in dislike wouldn’t effect them at all. Most people will just see us become another successful club, they’ll watch our games out of interest but by and large they’ll not care too much and will focus on their own club and their own rivalries. The mackems hark on about our arrogance but come out with absolute fucking twaddle like this where they’re arrogantly thinking they (and we) matter to fans of other clubs, they don’t. The delusion will grow as we will inevitably get mentioned a lot more, there will be an increase in jokes/derision about us on football meme and news pages as the club grows, so I’ve no doubt the mackems will see this as hatred for NUFC and will be in comment sections trying to be friends with everyone , meanwhile the other club fans will continue to laugh at/about us (the club that matter) and not give a flying fuck about them.

  13. I love posts like that. In all honesty, there are elements that are true which I'm certainly not bothered to go into now. But we all know the heart of football, if it ever existed, is long gone now and that post is purely driven by bitter jealousy. The fact that the mackems actually believe they are somehow morally superior beings is quite the thing. They're not. In fact all empirical evidence suggests they are more insular, xenophobic, racist, homophobic and even fatter than people from Newcastle. Yet somehow if this was them they would block it through the sheer power of moral indignation? I hope this thread shuts down shortly, they really are an absolute irrelevance to us. Maybe when we're in the same division some rivalry can start up again. Might be al ong time (also could be next year, but, y'knaa).

  14. New and improved Sunderland! Now with added likeness! When being the most liked club in the north east isn't enough! Available at all good division three stadiums and internet forums. Terms and conditions don't apply. Likeness may go down when you meet them.

  18. We have almost unlimited funds. Given the previous statements from The Fragrant Ms. Stavely, I’d be amazed if they aren’t throwing everything at getting Rafa to come back. And I’d have no problem at all if he accepted the offer. They’re offering him what he tried to do whilst here, but with a previously unimaginable level of backing to actually see it through. Regardless of who they get ( temporarily or long-term), it’s absolutely imperative that Bruce is not in charge for the Tottenham game. Their first match as owners should be a raucous celebration- if the Lump is in the dugout, the crowd will inevitably give him dog’s abuse ( rightly so). Put Jones in temporary charge until they have their man. He’s got enough goodwill to avoid any backlash at the game, even if we lose, and it gives them a bit more time to get who they want. Bruce has to go before the next game- there is nothing to be gained by keeping him on.

  19. It is really sad. There are loads of other small NE clubs of a similar stature, whose fans just get on with being fans of their own clubs. Blyth Spartans, Darlington, Gateshead, Whitley Bay, to name a few. Time they woke up and realised where they are in the grand scheme of things.

  27. The interesting thing about Rafa is that Everton are pretty much regarding FFP. If they could make a profit on letting him go then they might entertain the idea. Conte is the best coach of those being mentioned but Rafa has the advantage of knowing exactly what changes need to be made immediately regarding the infrastructure and playing staff.

  31. I think someone like Terzic who stepped in at Dortmund after Favre got sacked could be one accepting Rangnick as a mentor. I do actually think that someone like Potter could be working with Rangnick. Ten Hag from Ajax if you look at a manager with a bigger reputation.

  32. Favre is probably too similar to Rangnick in certain ways that he doesn’t like to make compromises if things aren’t done how hewants them to be done. That’s why he failed at Stuttgart but in the end also at Gladbach and Dortmund.
