Sam opened his set with 'Will We Talk?' and 'Getting Started' and the crowd was filled with black and white flags and revellers in Newcastle United FC shirts in homage to his hometown now I know there's shit loads of geordies exiled in london and I'm admittedly not an expert on fender's following, but to me that implies non newcastle folk are donning the black and white in homage? I thought it was probably worth taking a bit of a break from political chat since at times I can't help myself. I watched the demise of Johnson with some satisfaction but ultimately its just a battle in a war that will run for the rest of our lives. I'm not feeling any more positive about where we are heading, as much as I have some slight optimism that we may now head there a little less rapidly. Then again, I feel like the Tories might revert to form here, bring back austerity, kill a few hundred thousand more people in the process... and bounce in the polls by pinning everything bad on Johnson.

I bought a kayak at the end of last summer. surprisingly for me I've already had several run ins with welsh water for illegally paddling around talybont reservoir in the brecons! was gonna take it to kerne bridge and sail down the wye to symonds yat yesterday, but got pissed in the garden instead! booked a campsite on the forest of dean/welsh border for next weekend so doing it then instead. by then I reckon I'll be fully competent and will plan a trip to the himalayas to do some of the extreme white water rapids.

In fairness there's over six weeks until the window closes, so it's not time for the pampers yet. I'm trying to take my own advice by saying this as opposed to pointing fingers 😂👍

another thing about these cunts.... living in a relative backwater for football I have cheltenham town and forest green rovers on my immediate doorstep. so, when I venture in to town for a beer and conversation.turns to football apart from the locals who frequent whaddon road I'll inevitably end up chatting to people who've latched on to the usual suspects, particularly liverpool man utd,, chelsea, a sizeable amount of villa supporters etc, even the odd mackem. on the whole I've found them all to be affable enough folk despite their allegiance and I've been happy enough to prop the bar up and have a pint with them. never once have I parted company with them and wandered back home thinking, cripes, he was really classy.
