Was a really nice gig. Absolutely loads of toon shirts, undoubtedly. Zero chants of toon toon etc. He played his stuff, I cried during " Spit of you", like I always do. During the encore of " Hypersonic missiles*" he said sing so even Sunderland can hear you, the sportwashed cunt. Great evening all round, kind of proud this kid grew up 2 miles from me. 9/10. * Those daft mackem twats always go on about how hypersonic missiles proves SF is a hypocrite. Apart from the absurdity of it, the song is actually a brilliantly crafted nihilistic love song where the protagonist admits he is ignorant and impotent. Sam Fender isn't remotely hypocritical iyam. My childhood was basically that film "Stand By Me". A mostly quiet and isolated wee ex-mining village where everyone knew everyone, we all kicked about together and went on daft escapades to the woods, local quarry, or played hide and seek grounds of the chipboard factory. Pissed off all the local farmers by moving all the hay-bails around and building what were probably incredibly unsafe structures from them. We would nick ropes and nets from the factory use them to make hammocks and zip-lines deep in the woods, or "absaile" down the cliffs at the quarry. Half the time there would be some random stray dog along for the adventure with us, we'd know the dogs name and roughly what house it lived at, but nobody knew fuck all about it's owners. Suburban childhood bliss until we stumbled on the body of a body of woman in one of those fields. Turned out she'd had a drunken arguement with her partner, he'd stabbed her 19 times and moved her body to the field in a wheelie bin. We were 10. Wish I could say I was joking. It was probably a year or so after that our neighbour introduced me to SLF and gave me a copy of some dodgy Guns N Roses bootleg. Absolute hero. That was childhood. The teenage years were a different thing entirely.2 points

Not the point though. He got what he felt was a better offer. Last year's summer window would've looked vastly different if we'd signed him. No pointless chasing of Guehi would've meant we'd have likely got someone to play on the right... How did Etikike get on after he declined a move to us then sat on the bench at PSG?..again the point is he passed on us. So have quite a few others. Not sure if we put a bid in for Kvaratskhelia but we were linked with him long before anyone else was. We do seem to identify good young talent with Nickson & his team but we're not top of the list for many of them to join tbh.2 points

We won’t make it to Bilbao. Eating my way through pintxos in San Sebastián, then going back to Bordeaux to restock with red wine…2 points

that’s why mbueno would have been a good fit - a wide player who is comfortable covering CF so Osula could continue as third choice CF and a wild card option out wide. I agree he should stay to aid his development but we need more depth across the front line so we’re not relying on him too heavily2 points

They're making a prequel to the prequels set in time before their forebears emigrated to the US, it's called t'Ilkleymoorstone set in an area that's notorious for cunts to this day.2 points

Absolutely correct but loaning the lad out to a Leeds or Hibs doesn’t help our squad, we need strength in depth and he needs to gain more pitch time with us. A world class striker and a young apprentice is not the answer. We need to add to the squad in that department and have needed to for some time2 points

Wilson is surely gone. We cant be relying on Willy O to be a champions league level striker when the inevitable Isak injury happens.2 points

I just don't understand how he was getting in ahead of him. When he was on the pitch the last couple of games for us for the 10 or so minutes he was lively and causing nervousness in the opposition. He is still very raw but he needs game time to get that sorted.2 points

I enjoyed watching PSG/Atletico, I must admit. Both teams played it at a better pace than I expected and PSG are just a joy to watch. Palmeiras were decent too but I only lasted until half time in that before I went to Kip. In theory, it’s not a bad idea but everything about the execution is absolutely atrocious. An exercise designed to make the rich richer played at a fucking stupid time. Plus, these kick off times are a nice warm up for the World Cup. Which will have 104 games btw Staying up until 2 am to watch Ecuador play Australia. What a life2 points

This audit they've just done has stipulated that we need a new inquiry to address a few different things that, with the exception of one around the definition of rape, were already in the previous inquiries. Even the one 10 years ago - and yes, including the ethnicity tracking stuff and whatever. If we need an inquiry into anything, it's why the Tories did fuck all about this for the entire time they were in power.1 point

Mbeumo is quite obviously interested in following Frank to Spurs. Whether he would have been a good fit is immaterial if the player has no interest in coming here. I wouldn't loan Osula out - he needs game time and we should be using him from the bench instead of Wilson. He's not going to be Isak standard, but then not many are that standard. All loaning him out will do is put him in the shop window most likely for a Championship club and then someone like Villa snap him up in a couple of years when he's started to show promise and we all consider what might have been had we kept him and played him - it'd be like Ivan Toney all over again.1 point

I was on it for a while for anxiety but the side effects were intolerable. I'm not sure if I thought it helped or not, maybe it did. It's really hard to say with some of these sorts of things. I just use Beta Blockers now for days when I'm particularly bad and beyond that call it quits. Hope you're well anyway Andrew, but sounds like the right decision to get off them given the side effects. I'm told different drugs can have wildly varying responses from different people, another type may be better for you.1 point

Don't get too excited lads, just a quick two week check in to make sure you're all OK. It's probably felt like about 6 weeks for you, I imagine. Hope Toonpack has been keeping you all entertained with his great jokes. Anyway, I haven't bothered to catch up but I'm assuming there's blind panic at the fact we haven't signed anyone yet, and of the players we are linked with, the forum's player valuation experts have ruled them all "not worth that much". How did I do?1 point

Is there a way we can crowdfund a reacharound for him as a goodwill gesture? I have relatively short arms, but collectively I think we could manage to reach out and give him a thankful squeeze.1 point
